Exposure/Location: shade- sun, thrives in moist soil, meadows, lowlands, shores, good in rock gardens

Height/Spread: grass-like clumps growing 15-22cm (6-9in)

Bloom: blue flowers open in the morning and grow on twisted stems above grass blades

Comments: plant should be divided every couple of years to maintain vigor. Leaves are Iris shaped.
