Exposure / Location : Full Sun - Part Shade.  Moist- dry soil.  Can be found growing along streams, woodland edges.  

Height / Spread : 1.5m-3m / 5-10ft tall, 1m-1.5m / 3-5ft wide. Can be used for screening, hedges, etc.

Bloom : Late May /June/ seeds July. Pinkish white/ white flowers followed by red seed capsules. 

Comments : Floral display along with nice foliage and hardiness make this shrub a popular choice among commercial landscapers.  Host plant to several moth species.
