Exposure/Location: marshes, swamps, thickets, wet meadows, rivers, average–moist, full sun-light shade

Height/Spread: 60-200cm (2-6.5ft) tall

Bloom: July-September, purple/pink flowers that form clusters off the stems.

Comments: great for pollinating insects.  Often forms large colonies. Sometimes found with E. perfoliatum.
